Jacob Watfa

Jacob is a UK and European qualified patent attorney with expertise in not only patent drafting and prosecution, but also intellectual property (IP) portfolio management and IP strategy.

He has worked in both private practice as well as in-house, working with innovative businesses, investors, and leadership teams on aligning IP strategy so as to provide IP portfolios aligned with commercial objectives, supporting long-term growth.
Jacob holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, and a Master’s in IP Law and Management from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies at the University of Strasbourg, including a thesis developing a quantitative framework for assessing the IP management and strategy of target investment companies.
